Project Overview

A certain energy and environmental technology center in Spain aims to support companies in conducting applied research, technological development, and innovation in the following knowledge areas: water treatment technology, waste-to-energy conversion, biorefining, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. CETENMA has counted 34 affiliated companies (60% of which are small and medium-sized enterprises) from the environmental (water, waste, energy, biotechnology) sector, which have created 2,700 jobs and generated an annual turnover of 367 million euros.

Companies: CETENMA provides innovative services to over 90 companies annually, helping them become more competitive in the global market, where R&D and technological differentiation are the driving forces for offering more competitive services or products.Municipalities: CETENMA collaborates with city councils and regional public entities to assist them in developing sustainable development strategies, such as through their circular economy and climate change mitigation strategies.R&D Entities: CETENMA works with several research groups from universities and other research centers.

Water Technology: Water efficiency, wastewater recycling, etc.

Green Energy: Transition towards safe, efficient, and clean energy.

Economy: Sustainability of production processes, industrial symbiosis, by-product recovery, etc.
