Project Overview

Suara Serveis SCCL is a cooperative society with a history spanning nearly 40 years. In 2008, three non-profit social cooperatives merged to form Suara. As a socially innovative cooperative, it boasts a workforce of 5,000 employees, 90% of whom are women, dedicated to providing a diverse range of services, including childcare, support for socially marginalized groups, and elderly care. In 2016, Suara established a Social Innovation Lab, and in 2023, it received Enoll certification, becoming a Living Lab, a social digital laboratory.

Faced with challenges such as aging populations, mental health crises, and resource scarcity, technology emerges as a powerful tool for improving people's lives. Suara is designing the "Digital Home," an experimental platform for implementing home-simulation-based support systems, allowing the integration of technology into real-life scenarios before deployment. This includes the use of sensors, voice assistants, social and health technologies, intelligent robots, and smart IoT solutions.

Currently, Suara seeks solutions to introduce modern technology through home simulation experiments, enabling the implementation of monitoring systems in housing for seniors over 65, preserving their autonomy. For instance, installing non-invasive sensors in existing facilities combines smart data collection with privacy protection, while maintaining necessary social interaction levels. This ecosystem leverages AI for big data services, recognizing behavioral patterns and predicting declines in quality of life.
